Life Choices (originally Pregnancy Support Services) was established in 1984 after a concerned group of people, under the leadership of Jessie Schaeffer, felt a pro-life presence was needed in Armstrong County.

Celebrating 25 years of ministry
As the ministry grew over the years, Life Choices continued to provide FREE pregnancy tests, guidance and practical support to men, women and families. Through these services, gaining the opportunity to share hope and love with each person who walks through their doors, making it one of the most effective outreach centers in our community. A satellite office in Sarver was then opened in 2006.
Expanded services include parenting classes, men’s counseling, post-abortion support and a Baby Boutique stocked with new and gently used maternity and baby items.

In 2002, Life Choices began presenting programs to promote sexual abstinence until marriage to students. Currently 11 different programs to various ages are presented in Armstrong School District, Redbank Valley Jr.-Sr. High, Freeport Jr. High and Evangel Heights Christian Academy.
Life Choices has been called to be a culture-changer for our community and for 25 years, has been dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of young men, women and families facing unplanned pregnancies, offering life-affirming options to those in this difficult situation.

NEW teenCARE PROGRAM STAFF ADDITION
In October, KYLE and DANIELLE BARTHOLIC joined the ministry in a program encompassing character, abstinence and relationship education. Service to area schools, community groups and churches, the teenCARE Program is committed to influencing youths as they pursue a lifestyle of saving sex for marriage and abstaining from alcohol and drugs.

NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Originally from Kittanning, PA, CHELSEA (Chel-sa) REARICK has lived the last two years in Lexington, KY where she attended Asbury Theological Seminary for a Master of Arts in Counseling.
While living in KY, Rearick working as a consultant at a pregnancy center in the heart of the city. Every day worked with young girls that desperately wanted to terminate their pregnancy any way possible. By the grace of God, she witnessed many women choose life for their babies, as well as themselves. Sadly, also witnessing some who chose a path of destruction.
Through those experiences, both wonderful and heartbreaking, developing a strong passion for the pro-life movement. Believing Life to be the very heartbeat of God, and to her surprise, He called her back to PA to use her gifts to fight this battle at Life Choices. Beginning as Executive Director in August of 2009, Rearick is absolutely thrilled about what God is doing here.
It is clear that there is an Enemy who desires to use whatever tactics he can to destroy lives, but thankfully we have a Father who is passionately inspiring people to spread His message of love that cannot help but breathe new life to all who encounter it!
