Rory McEathron
Short Term Intern
Rory's family has supported Vision of Hope Ministries (VOHM) for years. Their interest in Haiti began when a member of the family spent some time in Gonaives with the Peace Corps several years ago.

Rory, age 18, graduated from high school last spring and had decided that before going to college he would spend a gap year doing some other things.  One of those things was a missions experience.  Since his family was so familiar with VOHM, he chose to apply with us.  He arrived in Haiti October 1st, and will be there until the first of December.

More of Rory's experiences in Haiti. Meeting the orphans, the secret he found to be a millionaire, the languages and the weather.

Another year of school at College Susan Schuenke
This year brings a special change for the school.  We have an intern from the U.S. who will be teaching English at the school, working with the orphans from Gonaives, and assisting our VOHM U.S. office with the scholarship program.

Read Brittany's story.

ORPHAN NEWS
In early October, the court ruled that it was in the best interests of five of the 12 orphans staying with the Lucien's to permanently stay and not be returned to the place of their birth.

Pray that the remaining seven, who have no parents or relatives, not be forced to return as the one who brought this suit, and lost, has threatened to go back to court on their behalf as well.
