We are reminded that thousands of U.S. and Allied troops have been deployed around the world in response to the events of 9/11 and the Global Terror activity.
With the downturn in our Federal, state and local economies, the supplies needed by our deployed troops has increased. With more troops being shifted and stationed in Afghanistan, the need for supplies and home town and church support is larger than ever.
We are collecting at the Apple Fest basic supplies and the most sought after comfort items for the troops. Write a letter, card or create a craft project to include in the care packages too!
The troops will really appreciate it.
